I was hoping this app would help me clean up my library, mostly the genre, instead it made a huge mess of everything. Its wrong so often and even when its right it pulls in such strange data that its next to useless.

I took the chance and bought this app after using the demo for a few albums. It worked very well and cleaned up all my tracks including album cover art. Its still working as advertised. I recommend the app.

Crashes very often… Very bad support for iTunes Match (in fact, better disable iTunes Match before working on your collection!) Seems to disturb iTunes (Changing tags from iTunes 11.0.2 doesnt always work when TuneUp is active) This could be a very good product if this product was stable and working as advertised... This version is quite worthless… Please update!

This used to be a great app but since iTunes Match it has become especially crash-prone and very incompatible.

Ok - I have used many different software that has the same idea. I will say this much - this software will find Album Art Work but it seems to come from Top Hit CDs and not the orgional from the artist. It gives you four album options and it stops. I have used CoverScout 3 and it gave me 10+ album artwork for most songs… with this number you DO get the correct artwork. If you use CoverScout 3 with SongGenie 2 you end up getting what TuneUp promises. There is a trial so please try it first. I only write this as I am now stuck with TuneUp and will never use it - well unless they imporve the Match and Album Artwork Discovery that other software seems to do well now? After all this is why we are paying $40+ correct? Take care and good luck!

Tuneup crashes quite regularly. You cant clean up your whole library at once - if you have more than 1,000 songs to "clean" you have to manually do it in batches - insane, could this not easily be scripted? It seems to miss a lot of duplicates, and there dont seem to be any settings to improve the scanning. After de-duping, I managed to immediately find hundreds of dupes that all sound exactly the same as each other and most even have the same file name. Not sure what is going on. Also, the interface is clunky, and I hate how it asks me for my email every time I open the program - even after I entered it the first time! Terrible! Overall this program was VERY expensive and basically doesnt seem to work. The field is open for a developer to mac a great mac app that will at least de-dupe based on how the files sound - I have a fantastic mac app that does this with photos (de-upes based on appearance) - and costs a fraction of this program.

On Sept 10, 2013 version 3.0.4 was released publicly but not on the Mac App Store? I dont begrudge the developer from making some off Mac App Store sales but the new version should be submitted to Apple for approval asap as we have paid for it already. As for how it works, I have had no issues with 2.4.8, the key is to not go blind in and let TuneUp handle all items, selectively update your track info by dragging tracks to the Clean tab. Works without issue for me although there is one song in my playlist it refuses to find any information about, but in all other cases that I have used it (12,000+ songs), it was mostly right on the money. When it wasnt, using Wikipedia or Disc Dogs or the like I could find album art that was missing or incorrectly found. YMMV… Overall, once my database was cleaned up and set the way I want it, there is no need for the app anymore except for the social/concert aspect imho.

This application simply doesn’t work. It continuously crashes. Apple, please remove this app from the store - I have submitted multiple crash reports. Please read comments below.

I did use this app to fix up my itunes from time to time, but since the release of itunes 12 and Yosemite, it doesn’t work anymore. It says on their website that it doesn’t work because they are both still beta but they are live now, and no update yet. So if you are running either of those, don’t buy this yet, because it won’t work at all.

since i upgraded my laptop to OS X yosemite it’s not allowing me to clean my any of my songs it’s saying "One or more of these songs are in an unsupported format and cannot be processed. TuneUp supports locally stored audio files in MP3 and DRM-free AAC (MP4).” but i tried cleaning a song i clean before when i was on maverick and it’s saying the same thing

The app update is not up yet in the app store. When I try to download it from Tuneupmedia site, Avast security blocks it. There is a " Spigot-A virus" inside the installer. Please correct it!

it does not do a good job. after it did its thing I had to correct most of it myself. don’t wast your money on this peace of crap.

Please update the version of tuneup. It doesnt work on itunes 12.

Did not recognize all the songs correctly changing right names to a ones it likes. Constantly looses connection to internet, thus not able to show playing songs info. This app should max cost 4.99$, not 40$

The app regularly crashes. But since its the only app in class (at least that Im aware of) I consider it usable. So far, found almost 100% tracks that I fed to it.

Support screen asks for activation code, but you have only app store number, which does not accepted. App store support link gets you the same TuneUp support page with activation code request :( thats a ring ! Not good !

crappy app, offer what itunes already offer ! dont downlaod it !!

this program is very bad! it look like your solution for solve the problem of title, album ect, but it s not.. it s to much 30 euros for it..trust me

Old version, very expensive, don’t work, too many bugs, they stoled my money!
